Train passengers travelling along the Weymouth and London Waterloo route are facing delays.
At around 11am South Western Railway warned passengers that all lines were blocked due to a signalling problem between Moreton Dorset and Dorchester South.
The lines reopened at 1:22pm however disruption is still expected to last until 4pm today and services through these stations may be delayed or revised.
Passengers are advised their ticket will be valid on the following bus routes:

Morebus route 40: Poole and Wareham

First Bus route X51: Weymouth and Dorchester South
-
First Bus route X54: Poole - Hamworthy - Wareham - Wool - Weymouth

First Bus route 10: Weymouth - Upwey - Dorchester
A spokesperson for South Western Railway said: “We have been informed of a signalling problem between Moreton and Dorchester South. This means that trains are unable to run between these stations.
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
